Most days, but especially during peak season in the summer and fall, visitors need to get tickets well in advance. A night tour is also available. The view of the city at night is something that should not be missed.

This electric neighborhood of 100,000 people is not to be missed is visiting San Francisco.

Golden Gate Bridge Lincoln Boulevard, near Doyle Drive and Fort Point, San Francisco, CA 94129 415-921-5858 With a length of 4,200 feet and towering as high as a 65-story building, this well-known bridge is the gateway to San Francisco. The world's most famous bridge spans the Golden Gate strait, a mile-wide gulf between the bay and ocean, separating Marin County from the city. You can drive, bike or walk across the two-mile long suspension bridge. A $5 vehicular toll is charged southbound, while northbound is free.
